The next day, in the same Government/Economics class, first period, when the morning announcements came on, it was the only time that every single student stood up, hand over heart, for the pledge of allegiance. I had to leave the room halfway through it. I was sobbing.
I was a senior in high school in Government/Economics class. The teacher let the corner mounted CRT TV play the whole time. We saw the second plane hit, and the students in the class, about 15 of us, could only speculate. The news was saying the first plane was some kind of accident with a small plane, like a farmer that lost control or something. Once that second plane hit, the news couldn't deny it. Next period I had English, and the teacher didn't turn on the TV, no matter how much we 1/2
