Largely rooted in gender roles, I think. They see a woman's value in her ability to bear children, and an FTM who chooses to identify as male still has that function up to a point, while in the reverse the MTF will never have it. That's why they scream about biology and just can't separate it from gender; they really only care about women being able to serve as factories, and see MTF as essentially stolen valour; they're representing "worth" they don't have.It's insane, but so are they.

Mars Attacks! if anyone's unfamiliar. '96 comedy film by Tim Burton. Culturally relevant I'd say, lot of big names, though I'm struggling to think of any really persistent quotes or particularly viral memes. The aliens running around yelling "Do not run, we are your friends!" maybe.Worth a watch, deconstructs a lot of alien invasion tropes very cleverly.
