The biggest mistake Disney made was thinking star wars fans could let go of a decade of hating the franchise on the internet at the drop of a hat. I'm gunna be fully honest- everything disney has made has been significantly higher quality than most of what Lucas had his hands on outside of the og trilogy. Most of clone wars is actually kind of lackluster for example.
The show "the toys that made us" should be required viewing for all star wars fans to see just how monumentally he impacted the toy industry (also how Kenner came to him with a clone wars prequel concept to sell more toys which he declined to do... waited until the license with them lapsed, then made a deal with hasbro that gave him a much larger cut of the profits and announced the prequel movies)
