I don't have any issues with him sleeping. It's a stressful job, he's not in his prime anymore, and he's tired. Let the man sleep, I say. Problem is, the dumb fucks just keeps waking up.

Mine was Insomnia. I really enjoyed it, I don't think that was supposed to be "scary." I read The Shining and thought it was fine, but it wasn't fun. Then I read the Gunslinger and... Well, at the time, I was like 11 or 12, and I just thought it was a fun and quirky adventure. I didn't read it again until years later, and... damn. If it wasn't a Star Trek novel in the 90s, I was reading Stephen King. I read one Dean Koontz novel once, and that's how I learned what a "knock-off" was.

I'm a straight dude, and I'm not saying she's not pretty, but... I'm pretty sure Tom Holland could do better.

The whole "Gulf of America" bullshit is region-dependent on Google, too.

Suspicious. I can see it listed at that price, but it can't be shipped to my location. Thing is, I'm in a major metropolitan area, and there's a full-size Amazon distribution center less than a 10 minute walk from my house. I CAN get the ones that are more realistically priced, but not the cheap one.

I dunno. Like, I get that the sentiment is nice and it's the thought and all, but I don't WANT flowers. Steak and blowjob day. Or even just General Tso's chicken and a handy. Or nuggets and a titty grab. I'm a simple man.

It's one thing to modify a house and not see value from the additions when you go to sell it. It's a whole other beast when you CAN'T legally sell the house without basically paying double - pay to rip it out and THEN pay to "fix" it.

You're missing the point. He has ZERO desire to engage in real discourse, or have fair dialog. He doesn't CARE about the burden of proof. He's making those claims because he WANTS TO MAKE THOSE CLAIMS. He's putting the burden of proof on you, not because he "doesn't understand" how it works, but because he doesn't WANT to.

The old CDMA/GSM/2G/EDGE networks have been shut down. Those were the CORE technologies for analog voice calls and basic SMS messages. Most 3G data services were retired a few years ago, but the older ones stuck around for a little longer. But even some early 4G sites are being retired now. You can still use a BASIC phone, but you can't use an OLD phone.

So I first thought that this was a picture of panties, but it looked like there was a snake (like a literal snake, not a euphemism) in the panties.

Nothing cryptic. It's literally that people that do mechanical or industrial work "turn wrenches." Put a wrench on a bolt and turn it. If you say "I've been out turning wrenches" it means you've been out doing hands-on mechanical work with tools. A measure of arm strength is usually involved.

Fuck that was a great show.

For his enthusiasm, I do NOT like the flimsy-ass mounting of that pole on that platform. I feel there should really be concrete set further down, with a layer of soil and grass on top. It just really looks like it would topple and/or break, and it would be a bunch of jagged stabby bits for whoever was on the pole.

So if the rough average wage for an RN is about $38/hr, then just have them all START at like triple that. Let the "desperate" ones bid double the normal wage. But it has to be a collective effort. If they're going to FORCE bargaining onto the workforce, then the workforce needs to be sure they're bargaining COLLECTIVELY.

Surprisingly good steaks for such a large chain. It's a shame they've got to flood the space with country music.

Generally not. Most overhead wires in the US are like a spiral of aluminum wires with a core of steel wires. Newer ones are aluminum with a carbon fiber core, but they're still mostly not insulated. Only high voltage DC lines (because they corrode faster) or if they're medium or lower voltage and close to buildings are they insulated.

Yeah, should definitely be. Not just any two, but any ONE and a ground will fry him, too. It's at least 480V, could be up to a few thousand volts on a pole like that. No more than 50kV, though. Looked it up, this was apparently in New Mexico, and the bear did get electrocuted. Pretty amazing that it made it on top of the cross-member without getting zapped.

I think a LOT of this (but not all) came from the Star Trek fandom that came about AFTER the Original Series went off the air. Trek fans, especially the ones that showed up to conventions in the pre-internet days, were a DEDICATED bunch. Like, the founding of the "fandom nerd" trope was those guys. So, yeah, I figure if a whole bloc of socially awkward people were all over your shit for a role you played over a decade prior, you'd probably be done with it before too long.

They MIGHT be able to do this today, they DEFINITELY could have done it 10 or even 5 years ago. But I think 90% of people who wanted Elder Scrolls 6 would SETTLE for "Skyrim 2." Similar scope, same engine and assets - Just like New Vegas was to Fallout 3. But we can't even get that.

It's the lousy, crumbly breading that makes those Dino Nuggets trash. I want me a nugget that has some breading with integrity. Crumbs are NOT a suitable substitute for craggles.

Eh, it's been a while since I figured it out, but Star Wars is no longer a sci-fi fantasy franchise or shared narrative universe. It's a STYLE, now. It's an aesthetic, a coat of paint. It's a design commodity.

Man, I wish we still had a respectable Department of Justice. Because this is absolutely criminal.

#19 I don't smoke, but I want that shirt.

It's been "stagnant" for that time, yeah, but... Once you put a 5.1-capable chip and I/O on a bog-standard HP office box motherboard... Where you do go from there? I LIKE having good sound, I use a real amp and real speakers, but I haven't felt ANY need to get a purpose-built sound card since about 2001. It's a commodity now, and I don't even know what a "premium" product COULD look like, let alone what I'd want.

This is wonderful news, thank you. I hope they can make it hurt, and I hope they can make it stick for a long time.

Huh? What kind of wacky car do you have where your cabin air filter is a 15 minute job? It's usually behind a snap-off panel in your glove box. Takes less than a minute, and it just slides right out and back in. You can get filters for like $4 online, too. You don't even need any tools, either.

I had this thought a few weeks ago - Superman would have to NAVIGATE a lot, and just being familiar with enough visible-from-altitude landmarks would be a lot of stuff to learn just to get around the world. I wonder if you could get a version of Google maps that only does large landmarks, major roadways and bodies of water - you don't need street navigation, but just like flying a plane with no assisted navigation.

So how do you figure that Russia "lost" Crimea? I WANT this to be true, but unless Ukraine has cut off all land access to the peninsula AND effectively cut off supplies by sea, I don't see HOW Russia LOSES Crimea outside of negotiations.

#10 I don't know what chemical that is, but it's pretty strong, and he should definitely be wearing more than a damn bandana over his face.
