I've got no problem with the idea of investing in a company and buying shares in it, getting a cut through dividends, and then when you've had your fill, maybe selling that stock on. But the idea of constantly trying to ride growth of an effectively random number generator just seems nuts - the fact that so much of our imaginary money is based on this is even madder!

Problem for me is, my skillset lies in enterprise software integration, my local farmer doesn't have much need for that, so I need some mechanism where I can provide that skill to someone who does and translate that effort into a way of getting the things I need.

I'm not a freeloader, I'm happy to pay to perpetual copies of films or entire series of something. Providing it's high quality and I can play it on any of my devices, I'll pay - up to a point. So yes, I buy physical discs and rip them to my media server, and if I can't get hold of it at a reasonable price (or at all), then up goes the flag.
You'll have to excuse my ignorance as I'm not an American. Who funds the loans in the first place? Who is covering the shortfall on that expected return, wouldn't that be the tax payer? And without increasing taxes to cover the defaulted loans, that would result in cuts to public services?

Cost of living is horrific, but I'm not sure complain about the cost of having a hand-made iced-coffee being couriered to you being excessive - the whole idea is excessive!
Data protection laws are much more stringent in the UK than the US, but that number is still definitely more than zero. I'm no criminal, but I wear a cap now.

As somebody who works in IT, I feel this is the sort of thing that a developer did without thinking about it. I've got two conflicting requirements: oh wait, they only conflict for different user groups, I'll apply group-specific view, problem solved.
This is how money works in most countries. Your money (which itself originally represented something like gold) gets put into a bank account where it basically becomes a token, which you can exchange. You could argue that you can withdraw your money, but you're just getting a physical token, it no longer gets changed back to gold. Of course - why would you want to do something that isn't a currency? Which highlights to me the pointlessness of NFT.

High local contrast and sharpening. You can use it to make photos etc look a bit more crisp, your phone will apply it by default to hide the crappy sensor. But yeah, overdone it looks like this.

Unfortunately I think I'm about an hour away from three major first strike targets, so I think that's avoiding being wiped out immediately, but well within dying horribly of radiation poisoning.

They are a huge ecological problem, but damaging them will only lead to replacements being built. Instead, look to see if you can reduce your reliance on private car journeys. Unfortunately, it's not feasible for many people, but for others it's a choice that can be made. Lead by example where you can.
I'd like to say I'm boycotting the game for this reason, but that would be disingenuous - I'm not buying the game due to the price. When it has been discounted to under £30, we'll talk then.
Pretty much every GTA major version was ground breaking. I suspect it'll be a roaring success.
