You know, legally, he does not have to have the film classified in the uk by the BBFC to release it?The BBFC is there to make life easier for the distributors and filmmakers. The law in the uk is that each council can review the film and decide what certificate it gets. They all just agree with the BBFC, and as such, they will auto agree with the BBFC classification.Each local council would charge as much as the BBFC to do it. And theres 100s of them. So its cheaper too
