I will never downvote a post or a comment. I may want to, but I won't. Ever.
Really? Next you're going to tell me that Thursday has some ancient historical origin as well....
#24 As a nurse, I'm trying to figure out which class is for the healers.... but then I looked it up, and goddammit, I do technically work for a religious organization.
#8 Replace the top text with, "Me saying I'm unloveable, and will die alone." and bottom text with, "My friend saying they're unloveable, and they will die alone."
I would add a 5th type..... people easily duped by fauxnews propaganda.
I bet Usha sucks....
And then Robert got in on the joke: https://www.instagram.com/reel/DcFCFlGSyAO/
And subsequent follow-up reels: https://www.instagram.com/reel/DaG5GAlS2af/
Are you guys fans of the Australian Comedians "Grannyflats"? They've got a classic Robert Irwin bit: https://www.instagram.com/reel/DRqLFypEu77/
There is a trans basketball player in France who recently won Player of the Year.... but it is in the 2nd tier league. When asked about the WNBA she had this to say, "If they contact me, I won't say no. But you have to be realistic: I'm old, and there are far better players than me." -Julie Tetart
#12 This one is completely foreign to me...I recognize the rest though!
#12 I work at a hospital, and in working with people, I hear some strange names.... like older couples who call each other mom and dad, instead of using each other's names. Or, adult children calling their parents "Grandma and Grandpa", even when their children are not around.
Is that Basil? Basil Exposition??
I love the House of R podcast...because Mallory Rubin brings this almost childlike joy and love for the things she cares about (dragons, superheroes, Grogu, etc.), while Joanna Robinson loves and appreciates things, while also bringing a more studious, 'this is why this is good' kind of attitude. And then when something they cover sucks, they generally acknowledge, and move on.
#47 Not to be a nurse dork, but the "black plague" preceded the 'modern' career of nursing by like 400 years. And the white conical mask character is actually a celebrant of the Czech St. Lucy's Day!!!
#7 Looks like someone just tossed a beanie baby!!
I've been reading too much Dungeon Crawler Carl... it makes you wonder if you couldn't actually change things. Which makes it a fantasy novel.
I don't love this suggestion, but I don't have a great alternative plan, so I'm not here to shoot down an idea, when I can't provide a more realistic solution. Like, maybe in 2032 we could have a decent government that reminds people that we can do this... But who can wait when everything sucks so much right now? I want to preach caution, and learn how to make molotov cocktails... you know?
For the first time, when he said "trillionaires", he's not being hyperbolic!!!
I kind of like to think, maybe we've incorrectly assumed it's orientation.... like, maybe far below, in the deep dark places, a fish can swim upside down without concern for the standards of man!!!
"Victorious warriors win first and then go to war, while defeated warriors go to war first and then seek to win.""Treat your men as you would your own beloved sons. And they will follow you into the deepest valley.""The supreme art of war is to subdue the enemy without fighting."
I thought it was going to go back and forth, not side to side....
Still?
The damn weightlifting bar/shovel bit is pretty funny!!!
There are exceptions to this, but for the most part, knowing how a movie is going to end, doesn't affect how much people enjoy the films. I think a handful of exceptions include The Sixth Sense, The Prestige, and Shutter Islands.... those films kind of rely on the twist (spoilers). https://www.universityofcalifornia.edu/news/spoiler-alert-spoilers-make-you-enjoy-stories-more
Even with all the trailers, you don't get the overarching themes... I just happened to see Brand New Day for a second time last night. It really is a beautiful film, and I left the theater wiping tears from my face both times!!!
I flinched!!!
I don't know, I work on a rehab unit, and with HIPAA I would not be able to disclose if I was taking care of a congressperson, a senator, or even the president. So if he is, indeed, in a long term inpatient rehab facility, he may just require a great deal of therapy to get back on his feet. But the fact that he is refusing to share a video as proof of life, means he is much more debilitated than the GOP wants to admit, or he could be dead...
You know what's great.... we have pizza and wine as well!!
#6 If only we'd listened....
