Really fun fact. Modern flat earth is distinct from the old beliefs in a flat earth. In my opinion it's a reaction to our secular scientific process. These believers take issue with the copernican principle that earth is not special. They seek anyway to assert that earth follows a different set of rules. This is why they are near impossible to convince. The flat earth is discussed in scientific terms but to them it's a faith issue. If the earth is flat then god must exist.
If it's fraud it's not because people are signing up for healthcare for zero reason. It would be insurance companies making fake accounts and getting government assistance while paying a fraction of the premium if any at all back to themselves.
I think when I was a kid we used iodine to clean stuff before a bandaid. Iodine was the worst part of any injury I ever sustained (note I've never broken a bone). If you've ever had turf burn it was that sensation but MORE.
