This is forever my issue. On the one hand, it’s a great joke and I love it. On the other hand, in my house we respect Dr. Kirk Langstrom, dammit.

I’m glad to hear that you’re doing fine, but, I still wish things were different and you didn’t have to be isolated with that. I also really appreciate the candour and willingness to share some of your experiences here. If nothing else, I really hope things get better and you end up finding people who will love and support you and you don’t encounter anyone else who may treat you poorly. Have a good day!

I don’t mean to come off as weird, but I’m sorry that you’ve had to go through that. No one should ever have to experience things like that and I hope that you have had a strong support network and have been able to find peace.

It is very possible she didn’t vote for Trump. She was one of seven GOP who voted to convict him, voted against Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation, broke ranks and voted to back 12 of Biden’s nominees and was found to have voted with Biden 64% of the time in 2023.

I would read it as belonging to the sex specifically at the time of conception. Which is impossible because sex is not determined at conception. It also feels very weird to use conception over fertilization as the whole thing reeks of religious overtones.

He did not screw over the rail workers. They just simply have a PR problem and don’t actually advertise what they did manage to accomplish. Even though Biden voted to disallow the strike he continued to work with the rail workers until they were awarded sick days (Dec 2022 vs May 2023) and the union considered the new contract a win.

You could argue that after Medusa was raped by Poseidon, Athena’s gave Medusa a weapon to ensure that no man would ever lay a hand on her again.

Who cares about consistency and growth when we can shove in another witty quip instead!

For me it was the constant issues with writing. I haven’t really enjoyed a marvel movie since 2014 with the exception of black panther and Thor ragnarok. It was like they took everything I loved about the characters (not just in the comics! things they had established in previous movies) and threw it out the damn window at every possible moment. Or the constant making characters feel less like characters and more like important objects with no agency of their own.

It’s non existant.

How can you say gun control isn’t working when there literally isn’t any form of it in most places in the states?? It’s not an issue of it not working, it’s an issue of it not existing. More guns and “good guys with guns” won’t fix the root problem.

I feel like this is a great time to remind people that reductress is a satirical site

“Queer” is also a great, inclusive term that radfems and terfs have tried to nerf.

#16 Needs Fight Club to complete the generic white guy superfecta.

Honestly, the novel reads like a satire and not a horror or romance like it’s been adapted to be tons of times. So it doubly feels like people more or less missing the point every time I see a new version.

Also Ivy had had several stories where it shows she focuses on those who actually contribute to climate change and when in need (such as no man’s land) she will choose to protect innocents who cannot protect themselves.

I was told if I didn’t get a variable rate mortgage, the lenders would not lend because I didn’t make enough to “qualify” for the fixed rate. Lo and behold, the variable jumped up passed the fixed rate and I’m still making payments proving what bullshit it was. But it’s sometimes not an option, based on the current practices of lenders.

Okay, but comforting his grandson at a funeral isn’t a creepy tendency so why even bring it up in this moment in regards to this specific thread?

Many things are required to have contingency plans in place in case something becomes inoperable so there isn’t a loss of service or quality. I don’t see why this shouldn’t be one of them. Off the top of my head, I’m questioning why there wasn’t a ramp available.

I will believe that when AI no longer scrapes the work of creatives from the web, divorcing it from intent and meaning and stripping the creator of the due recognition and compensation. Show me an AI that doesn’t rely on stealing and exploitation of current artists/writers/creatives, and then we will talk about how it can be a tool.

Except his boundaries were things like changing her entire career when he went into the relationship KNOWING she was a professional surfer and model. You don’t get to “set boundaries” about whether or not your girlfriend is allowed to do her damn job.

That you do not live in Canada, where that specific OTC is banned due to the combination of acetaminophen and aspirin creating a risk of renal papillary necrosis. Please spare a thought to your Canadian friends suffering migraines.

Oh definitely believe it for gallbladder attacks. I’ve had some where I was completely incapacitated and had to be taken to hospital in an ambulance; they can last for several hours, too. Average 1-5 but the one that landed me in the hospital was about 12 hours of misery.
