That sounds inconceivable to me… because what do you do during the winter? Or on a particularly hot and sunny day? Is the stroller coral climate controlled somehow? Must be nice to go to a café with a 0% chance of crying babies, but I don’t understand some of the logistics here.
As cool as sliding around can be, personally, it doesn’t beat the feeling of taking corners 20mph+ faster than any 2WD could in a 4WD car. Some of the most fun I’ve had off-track was driving on canyon roads around the speed limit… without slowing down through the corners. Helped that I had really good tyres.
I used to turn the screen upside down on my school laptop (in the Windows display settings) on occasion whilst typing up essays. The first time one of the teachers saw it, she immediately made me turn it back around. Every other teacher who saw me do it would do the same, or say I shouldn’t be doing it, despite me actively working whilst it was upside down. Still have no idea what their problem was.
I genuinely hope that sooner rather than later, you find something that makes you have a whole-ass laughing fit. I hope you get to experience the joy of a body-takeover level of comedy. The kind of laugh that brings tears to your eyes and the widest smile to your cheeks. Please feel free to let me know when it happens.
I knew someone who knew someone that bought and restored a Lamborghini (Murchielago, I think) for around US$75,000. I asked about them a few years ago, and apparently it sold for nearly triple that. Asked them what they did next, and the money was used to buy another Lamborghini (though I don’t know which model) and restore it. Sold it for around half a million. Brings a whole new meaning to having “Lamborghini money.”
I’d do just about anything to earn that kind of smile from Lilith.

If anybody knows a talented multi-instrumentalist (or band) who’s able and willing to make a doom metal rendition of this, I’ll donate £25 to their charity of choice if they make it.
I feel like some people are missing the point here. If the study was done properly and is reproducible, then it takes the idea that celebrity-obsessed fans are less intelligent from an “observation” to a “provable point.” No matter how obvious it may seem, having research behind it legitimises the idea, and allows a more informed discussion around the topic.

The ones who are saying “oh but it’s still legal tender” apparently missed the line where the “box was too heavy to be carried up the freight elevator to the… lawyer’s office.” Aside from it being an asshole move, the ‘payment’ was literally unable to be received to its intended recipient. When unreasonable becomes unworkable, there’s no argument left to be made.
As much as I love smaller dogs, it’s stuff like this that makes me consider getting a golden retriever.

I believe it’s more that someone with severe-enough ADHD deals with all of these on a day-to-day basis, though some more than others. Not only do my family and friends with diagnosed ADHD have all of these to some degree, but also— and I’m not claiming to be a doctor here— these are the kinds of things the councillors and psychologists I’ve seen over the years say people with ADHD go through.

Oh, it means that tipping is basically more of a requirement than it would be otherwise. I’ve delivered for DoorDash before, and because a lot of the extra cost goes to the company itself, it means that the only money that’s really guaranteed to go to the driver is the tip. I’ve seen orders with a driving distance that only made sense because it paid like $20+, but turns out, it was an $20+ tip on top of a $2 - $3 base pay.
Having worked as a delivery driver during the pandemic, it depends on where you order from. However, what I can say is that whilst some places split the delivery fee with the driver, if they decided to raise their delivery fee, because price goug— I mean “to meet the surge in demand,” the driver may not see any of the raised fee amount. The extra money would all go to the company.
At a get together, I brought my PS4 so we could play party games. As things quieted down, myself and another friend decided to switch gears and play Gran Turismo Sport. He had about 150 hours the game. I had 1500. Long story short: none of my friends play racing games with me anymore.
