Burning methane, which produces CO2, is much less bad for the environment than letting it escape. That's the reason you see exhaust stacks with fire shooting out of them at fracking wells, oil refineries, chemical plants, etc. That's called flaring, they intentionally ignite methane as its released to prevent its escape into the atmosphere. It reduces its greenhouse potential by like 96% or some such.
His lawyer says there was no plea deal.
Adjusted for inflation, its still far less. The US and most of NATO spend 3% of GDP on their militaries today, in the 80s they were spending over 10%, and that was in the twilight of the Cold War as the USSR declined during Perestroika. Back in the 50s through the 70s is was upwards of 20% of GDP. If the US spent that much today the military budget would be nearly $6 trillion.
Yes, herbicides are toxic/carcinogenic and the companies that sell them (IE: Monsanto) have been legally punished multiple times for deliberately obfuscating the risks of using them leading to tens of thousands of people developing cancer.
Lol the DSA is the biggest gift Republicans could have ever hoped for. The GOP are more unpopular than ever riding Trump's coattails and Democrats were poised to sweep control from them... Then these DSA cretins popped up running as Democrats giving interviews about how they view the US as an evil empire they have a duty to destroy from within. If I didn't know any better I would assume they were controlled opposition, alas, they are just genuinely that stupid.
Its basically equivalent to a mid-range gaming PC from 2021. If all you want to play on it are older games and/or esports titles, its fine... If you are looking to run brand new AAA games at max settings, you're going to have a bad time. Its GPU is basically equivalent to an RX 6600 XT/RTX 3060, which were fine mid-range GPUs half a decade ago, but are rather weak now.
Their comrades testified against them. 15 people were charged, 7 of them took plea deals and testified against the remaining 8.
Washington State has universal mail-in ballots, everyone registered to vote just automatically gets mailed a ballot and has a long ass time to fill it out and send it back. It raised the 18-29 turnout to 55%, but also raised the 65+ turnout to like 80%. Even when voting requires literally zero effort, young people still have much lower turnout.
Because huge swaths of young people can't be bothered to vote. 18-29 voter turnout is usually ~45%, 65+ turnout is 75%+.
This is just a laughably absurd assessment. Their reserves are about 10 days worth of global usage.
Funnily enough, when they do laparoscopic abdominal surgery like this on people, they inflate the abdomen like a balloon with inert gas since it gives them more space to work and reduces the risk of accidental damage.
Why should western governments pay reparations? They didn't enslave those people, enemy kingdoms like the recently whitewashed Kingdom of Dahomey (painted as anti-slavery heroes in the movie 'The Woman King') enslaved them and then sold them to traders, who in turn sold them to plantation owners. The only involvement western governments had was in doing nothing to stop it until the abolitionist movement eventually succeeded in turning public sentiment against it.
95% of transatlantic slaves went to European colonies in the Caribbean and South America, where they were worked to death and continually replaced over and over again.
This happened in the middle of the night, ATC was only talking to like three planes and the emergency vehicles. When its 'busy' a controller could be talking to dozens of planes at once.
AI had nothing to do with it, the school was previously a barracks and was part of a still actively used IRGC compound where all of the buildings were hit according to CNN. The US is obviously still at fault and their target vetting process failed.
From a movie called 17 Again.
California spent about $30 billion on 'housing first' in the last decade. Didn't accomplish anything at all, there are more homeless than ever... Drug addicts just tear the homes apart so they can sell fixtures and copper pipes for drug money.
Literally any US plane can carry nuclear munitions... B61s are relatively small and virtually every fixed wing combat aircraft in the US' inventory, and most NATO allied planes who participate in nuclear sharing as well, are certified to carry and deploy it.

This policy would have had them using even more chlorination. It required testing poultry and if the level of salmonella wasn't below a certain threshold, they would be required to dispose of the entire batch. So they would chlorine bath the shit out of every batch to make sure it never failed.
I, for one, can't wait for the impending competency crisis... Why learn to fly a plane or cut open an abdomen correctly when you can just not do the work and get straight A's anyways in the name of good feels?
Europe is free to attack Russia at their leisure.
Not only is it not enough to live on, but if you somehow manage to amass $2000, the government will kick you off of means tested programs like SSI and Medicaid because $2000 is the asset limit for them. An asset limit set 40 years ago when SSI payments were like $300/month, that wasn't tied to inflation, and has never been adjusted since.
The 3/5th Compromise was also compromise in favor of free states, not in favor of slave states. Slave states wanted their slaves fully counted during the census, because a larger population would obviously grant them more seats in the House of Representatives. Free states didn't want slaves counted towards slave state populations AT ALL, so slave states would get less representation in congress. Thus the compromise.
Fly ash and a bunch of carcinogens.
That's the thing with testing for weed, the test has no way to indicate when you did the drugs. Say you are a forklift driver and you just accidentally ran someone over and the authorities test you for drugs and you test positive... They don't know whether you smoked two weeks ago or smoked right before you started operating the forklift.
Its based on W-2s, so yes, it is only counting people who actually submit a W-2, excluding people who don't work and people on fixed incomes who aren't required to file a tax return. https://www.ssa.gov/cgi-bin/netcomp.cgi?year=2022
Yeah I don't understand what people aren't getting about this. If years from now you default on your mortgage, it becomes a huge headache and potential money sink for the bank to foreclose on and then offload the house that they now own. If you suddenly stop paying rent, its no sweat off their back, they have nothing to do with that.
Crazy concept, but most people who intervene against thieves don't do it to protect the business, they do it because they don't want to live in a crime infested shithole where theft is tolerated.
Shit I'd rather be in one of these 'tin cans' during a tornado than most other places... Freight locomotives weigh several hundred tons, that shit aint going nowhere.
