There are Satanist out there more Christian than the far right.
They do hearings like that in the US. Mostly they are witch hunts like what we recently saw w/ Fauci related to the origins of COVID-19.
Also instead of overpaying for wings you can buy drumsticks for half the price, and get more meat and better flavor.
I would guess it would be based on Eurocentric politics. Where the left would enforce more economic equality, and the right would have more economic autonomy.
Not having a job is fine. The problem is trying to figure out how to get money, and not having money is fine, but it's very hard to obtain the things you need and want w/out it.

I really wish more cartoons would age out their characters after a while.
It's likely this interview was well before any of Allen's sexual abuse allegations, or weird relationship with Soon-Yi because Welles died in 1985.

If you're just looking for something for show for the proposal then goodwill tends to have a few rings that are nice enough, and should run under $100. A pawnshop will tend to have a few nicer things for a bit more (under $500). Jewelry shops will have rings over $500 that will be contemporary and most expensive looking. You might get lucky at goodwill, or a pawnshop w/ something that just needs polish, and cleaning.
