Same, 6 days ago. At work...desk full of onions...trying to keep the drawers shut. The best way I've found to cope, more love to 2nd dog.

Sorry to hear that. Just saw the post about Ozzy. Great looking doggo! Davey had a seizure a while back, Hank stopped roughhousing with him
If I was told when I adopted him that I'd have him for almost 11 amazing years, I'd have jumped on that so fast...but I still wanted more
My mum said "You're going to see him everywhere still. Out of the corner of your eye, and it'll all come back every time" 2/2
We haven't forgotten the family dog, his aunt Kelsey. My parents joined my wife and I yesterday at the vet. 1/2

We would;ve looked at chemo if he was younger, but at 14 we (vet included) all felt it was more valuable to him to make the best of the time
Either someone who's never had a dog...or had one and seeing these types of posts hurts too much. Either way, suggest adopting a dog.

I agree. A friend of mine lost his wonderful doggo in an accident not long ago. Still feel for his family. I'd rather have the time knowing.
Yeah, but it's only hard to lose them because it was so worthwhile having them in your life to begin with
He also hated having a dog outpacing him, was an exceptional puller,& enjoyed a good mobile poop....and of course the howling & the shedding
I've done a little writing, mostly about fantasy hockey and other sports stuff. But always enjoy finding the right word for a feeling

It can be two things
Same. Always find they pull at the heartstrings. It's also a good way to deal with some grief.
I bring that up whenever I'm talking to someone looking to adopt, because if others at least try, it'll help more pets get adopted
The ONLY regret I have is that I didn't adopt him sooner...& that I have no puppy pics of him and those giant ears (was about 3 when we met)
I believe we all do. When you commit to doing the "work" (it's the best, not really work), & can promise to never let them suffer, adopt
Again, can't express fully how much of a positive impact adopting a pet can make. Truest friend I'll ever know.
