Freezing, but you can't beat white sandy beaches surrounded by mountains! The locals are super friendly so you can easily hitch a ride :)
Depends on the depth. On shallow dives you can stay down for a very long time. I've been drilling for more than three hours a few times.
Bring your skis! You can even surf at Unstad, it's 30 min by car from Svolvær :)

Nope, normally you have a seal around your neck, but not on the old suits. Siebe Gorman etc. :)
It really is! Did you take the ferry out to Lofoten while you were there?
Average at 20-30m. Max at 50, any deeper than that you have to go in to saturation :)

Yes I do! But we try to minimize it because the welds you do under water are pretty weak.

Yes, also a backward roll is almost a backflip. And backflips are awesome!

Less prone to break if you hit things. Also you can fit a lot of warm clothes inside for those long stationary dives ( hours and hours)

We all are. You make sure all suction inlets are shut off, and limit your umbilical length. Still it's one of the big risk factors.
Found some ww2 artillery ammunition outside an old nazi bunker once. And parts of an old really old vase in Greece on holiday this summer :)
None really. But mechanical knowhow, seamanship and some diving experience helps :) that being said, good diving jobs are far between.

All the time! I've seen Whales and dolphins a lot. And I helped catch a 220kg bluefin tuna two months ago. Don't see too many of those here!
