However, in my effort to find anything else about the artist, I just discovered that apparently he relies heavily on AI to create/produce his songs, which... I don't really know how to feel about that. Still processing lol
Anyway, I still like the song I think. Give it a listen if you feel like

Maybe they're no different 'cuz they look the same?

I mean Colorado does too, but good luck finding anything other than Coors at any venue owned by Monfort/Kroenke/Anschutz in the state. Blue Moon at least has the fun niche of being brewed at Coors Field, but guess what? Yep, still owned by Coors (always has been)
#1 Excuse you
Lmao this video is single-handedly responsible for AWOLNATION being one of my favorite bands
I listened to this one a lot after my mom passed away - Greg Laswell, "Comes And Goes (In Waves)"

I worked for a vice president at a space company who was a moon landing denier. And honestly that's pretty tame as far as the conspiracy theories he was into, but like... we worked for a space company.
Congrats on one year of this lol, that's a lot of recommendations both given and received!
Speaking of recommendations, if you don't know them already check out Ladytron, a synthpop duo based in Liverpool but consisting of one member from Scotland and one from Bulgaria. It's not exactly their most popular song, but "Figurine" is one of my favorites of theirs: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e0zAOpLOIYo
As someone who was raised Lutheran, I inherently disagree with everything this person said, but if you asked me why I don't think I'd be able to answer
I HATE THIS DOCTOR
Check out the interestingly-named "nipplepeople", a Croatian chill electropop duo who, as far as I know, always appear in masks/costumes and keep their identities hidden.
Tajna: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pu9FygHap5A
Oh snap, his voice definitely sounds familiar but I'm not sure I'd have placed if until you mentioned TV On the Radio. I dig this one, looks I'll have to check out more of his solo stuff!
Check out Kunzite, and electronic duo (including Mike Stroud of Ratatat if you're familiar, the similarities are strong). They have some fun beats and a mix of songs with vocals or mostly-instrumental stuff. See VAPORS: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kgr9xB1XXwU
For some reason the art on this on reminded me of a random song Spotify gave me that I listen to every once in a while, but I'm not really sure how to describe:
Witchz - Killem: https://youtu.be/aFHKCFl5gXA?si=dDaLrDEh1xy7CbKb
I feel like I've heard this song before, but I can't place where and I'm surprised to learn it's "only" from 2023... Weird!
I wouldn't be surprised if you know of today's recommendation, but check out Eels, an indie rock band that's practically a solo project of one Mark Oliver Everett (nicknamed "E"), who has a pretty distinctive voice and style. "Agony" is one of my favorites: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_yyfM_6wruM
I think his live versions of River are arguably better because he actually sings along with the backing vocals at times. If you ignore the weird recording environment, this is a pretty good example:

A couple of my other favorites, if you're up for them:
Prometeusz - https://youtu.be/luENKjhsS9E?si=p5HSiTP_m1oROp_d
Overthinking - https://youtu.be/WH7WFJmSZIE?si=06mTUuA0y2erWPkY
Check out Krystian Ochman (known monomously as just Ochman), a Polish-American artist who has an interesting style that's kind of a blend of pop, operatic/classical, and almost hip-hop; as well as various songs in both Polish and English. He represented Poland in Eurovision with the song "River" which is still my favorite of his, but definitely give some of his other work a listen:

To his credit, he's at least very open about his AI usage. Per the "band" website:
"The mind behind the music, Evan Kanter is the creative force and technical architect of Almost Alive. Based in NJ, Evan blends his musical instincts with cutting-edge AI tools to produce songs that rock!
Rather than hide the tech, Evan uses it like an instrument -- letting AI amplify creativity, not replace it."
I was gonna recommend a song that I discovered recently and has been at the top of my most-played songs over the last few weeks- "Hourglass" by Almost Alive: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EMnkI6SG8zc
However, in my effort to find anything else about the artist, I just discovered that apparently he relies heavily on AI to create/produce his songs, which... I don't really know how to feel about that. Still processing lol

Check out Iona Luke - Back to Ground: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C7hF6GfH-gs
Content? Or content?

Today's rec is Eleventh Vibration, an instrumental artist who I know nothing about but I vibe with this song - "Meridian": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NoN_bphCghY
Also just in case I've done this one before, you get an illegal double rec - Suffering: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lRwhsCZFeGs&list=RDlRwhsCZFeGs
I'm guessing there's a good chance she'll grow into that coat, so all is not lost! Also she's totes adorbs as it is.
I swore I'd posted about this artist before, but I can't find it in my comment history so here we go (maybe again)- check out Revolkiss, a sort of electropop/electronic rock duo that popped up for me this year.
Lullaby: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jszgacdEqAQ&list=RDjszgacdEqAQ
Hey I know these guys, and we have videos back! Truly a Christmas miracle or something like that, anyway.
Check out Georgi, a synthpop/darkwave artist from New York: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zWx2MKv8Blc
Hoo boy I have a backlog of these to get through, and boy am I disappointed (in Imgur, not in you) that there's extra clicks to go through..
Part of the reason for the backlog is we traveled to see one of our favorite bands (Joywave) in their hometown recently. They continued a recent trend of having excellent opening acts at their shows- in this case I discovered "Joe P", an indie rock act from New Jersey. Check em out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=58-jKc-dSqs
Getting a second cat made having our first cat much easier, unfortunately the second cat is an attention-whoring little shit even by cat standards so I'm not sure who's the real winner here
There's an official music video as well, but definitely heed the strobe/flashing lights warning: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=om3kRpKbBVw
Check out Ari Mason, an electropop/darkwave sort of artist from the US.
