The problem is that it is easier for some people to justify dismissing art that causes conflicting feelings, by identifying something problematic in its creator, than it is to evaluate those feelings separately from the merit of the artist.We don't teach our young people how to process complex feelings, much less art.
I could have taken more but was trying to avoid breathing the air anywhere near them; didn't want to risk having the procedure delayed or worse, passing Covid on to a guy already dying of cancer.
