Really liked the movie and its themes. I'm not loosing hope on a sequel. Yet.
That's for sure: easily 2 times the performance, maybe 3. :D
By the benches I've seen, quite a bit probably. The 970 is actually a 290W card, but goes WAY low on power when not used, hence the 145 TDP.
I love the new GTX970. Great optimization by NVidia. Make sure your PSU can handle 24A on the GPU 12Vrail. Despite the lowTDP,it has spikes!

@Iridale this is for an old LGA775 platform. The Xeon was modded for it and it's equivalent to a Q9550. :)
I spent a little under 142€ (=178$ =113£) for a system that will go through the "next-gen". All benches @ stock speeds, room temp 20°C.
TL;DR story about upgrading on a strict budget and modding, with a few pics.
