Can be fixed. It's just expensive and fatal if left untreated. Lots of complications too even after surgery. Prevent it with gastropexy!
Unfortunately even with prev measures he can still flip. Recommend prophylactic gastropexy ASAP. Last GDV I fixed was a 6 month old dog :(

Just because they vomited it up doesn't mean some of the toxin hasn't been absorbed already. Always decontaminate with charcoal to be safe
Xylitol is a common toxin for dogs. Every veterinarian is equipped to deal with it. If vet is not sure they'll refer you to poison control
PSA-Toxicities require decontamination with charcoal not just inducing vomiting. Always take your dog to the vet if they eat something toxic
There are better/safer ways to induce vomiting than peroxide. And done by a professional to avoid accidental aspiration while giving it.
Or you could just take him to the vet?

Dogs are considered property so it's the owners decision unfortunately. Vet can refuse to euthanize but owners will find someone who will :(
Wrong-It's due to an idiosyncratic reaction (1 grape can cause renal failure in one dog while 30 won't). You got one of the lucky ones.

Third eyelid= not really another eyelid. It's the nictitans membrane which produces tears. Dogs have it too

Every puppy has worms, mom passes them through the placenta. Not all pass them intheir stool. And obv a pot belly could be for other reasons
Adorable! Left eye looks like a lens luxation. Causes acute blindness but usually can live a normal life. Thanks for saving this kitty!
