ok, that's a thing. the thing is 'harder worker+ less pay= a better deal for your employer' leading your *employer to renege on their agreement with you. the bad actor is not your competitor but rather your customer buying from a different seller. and that's only when they fire you in favor of a better worker. if they hired that guy instead of you no wrongdoing happened @ all, you just got out-competed. if you're mad at the guy who'll work for less, unionize him! (or out-compete him)
