Smart kitty, the brother cat probably smelled or heard it... but couldn't see it.
Can confirm, I have this, it is called "aphantasia".
Doing the good work there and providing the source! It is unfortunate this happened as the old lady clearly has problems. But the fact that she *was* getting away with her problematic behavior until the video went viral is baffling to me. But I suppose most authorities and people don't want to get involved with lonely and problematic elderly people. I don't blame them either, some people are absolutely horrible even into their old age.
Yeah, what was a medium sized shirt is now a large for men sizes. For women sizes, the numbers gets smaller despite the same size physically. I wonder if it's because the country where these cloths came from defined the sizes. (Morbidly obese American size cannot be compared to starving southeast Asians).
I mean for them, clean, good cuts are what they're graded on. Bad, rough cuts mean lack of skill. Obviously I'd hope for a good clean cut to reattach myself later (or lessen my suffering).
Chill out dude, it's clearly a dashboard camera and a driver who witnessed and recorded 2 stupid people. I have no idea what exactly is "self-serving" here either; it's closer to a public notice as it went to the local police/public safety. But yeah, you do you I guess. Courts exist, but as to how the narrative is formed and interpreted, well, that's up to the viewers who may or may not have the critical thinking needed.
From the pictures I have seen on the internet, the building is absolutely hideous to look at IMO. I suppose some of those families will be able to tell future generations of how ugly things used to be (and are to this day) and that there is nothing holy about the place. But it provided them with generations of jobs and a sense of purpose.
Uh, yeah. I think for 70-80% of the general populace (myself included). Reality is indeed the worst thing that happens and persists. The matrix crap can and will happen if some billionaires (or soon-to-be trillionaire(s)) are convinced human brains are the best GPUs to harvest for building better AIs. "Freedumb" and the American dream is/was the worst copium humans have invented. We're never truly free as we're bound by credit scores and societal expectation.
Not all cats do. That looks like a Siamese, usually observed to be more intelligent than the typical orange. My dumb torbie/ "American short hair" cat is social avoidant though and absolutely refuses to be within 3 feet of any other cat and other humans. I'm an exception on a good day though.
Once as a child, very unpleasant experience, and never again. Thanks dad, I learned that touching grass is overrated. Nowadays I'm just trying to make the most outta my rent when I gotta pay so much to stay in the apartment rather than going out for "free" things.
Yeah, when one is old, poor, and/or disabled/sick in America, compassion isn't expected. The beatings and cruelty from the state and the wealthy scums is the norm. Hell I am reminded/ remembering the story of this Minnesota woman being evicted for someone else's fraud.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eqzgF4q8tMk
It is only failing the millions who lost but also working for the millions who are "winning"!Why, there are over 300 million Americans today. Even 1% means over 3 millions who are having a hell of time at the expense over 299+ million others. On a more serious observation, free market is dying with oligarchy succeeding. We are entering late-state capitalism now, but it'll be around for a few more decades...
It is a... somewhat dark humorous take on how everything seems to work for the consumer and the company/employer but never the employee. "Only pay for what you need". And I see the lack of empathy is strong in you.
Oh... who are those said friends? Amazon, Boeing, and Starbucks are all based/founded in Washington. They simply enjoyed the tax breaks as the largest employers until now. Microsoft was founded in New Mexico and relocated to Bellevue, WA then finally Redmond, WA. I don't know about the corps ever "moving in", but the C-Suites at those places are definitely not people-friendly. Greed is a not to be underestimated, and there are fewer and fewer people in power who are kept in check these days.
The cat seemed to be well-fed at least?... The fur coat doesn't seem ragged and surprisingly not flailing about on the guy... Likely one of those naive domestic indoor types that that lacks a sense of danger... Hopefully the owner had it chipped. But it must have been a real awful psychopath who bagged it and dumped it into trash alive. My pessimism tells me it was likely a psychopathic kid who did it to a defenseless animal.
What's fake about it? It's a demo of her skill with twirling what looks like a plastic or carbon fiber stick around. One *could* do it with a bo or a smaller and easier handling "Jo staff". But these are usually made out of solid oak. A mishandle and one is practically looking at broken furniture or a hole in the wall. For "practical" fighting, these light sticks are pretty useless as they lack the mass and tensile strength for impact. But they're fine for demonstrating skills.
It could be the same beach - just in reverse order. Given the "waterfront properties" of aza is potentially up for redevelopment after anne- the property is secured by the state to ensure no more civi- terrorists can threaten the security of the nation anymore. Yes, I'm pessimistic and I'll let people read between the lines.
Hypothetically? He could pre-emptively order the NG to "comply" with ICE Law Enforcement. Comply inefficiently with an extreme passive-aggressiveness or apathy to effectively grind the entire process to a halt. The hope is the NG has at least enough sense to make themselves visible and effectively notify people of ICE presence without actually harming nor refusing federal orders, thus not giving the window for an Insurrections Act and billing the feds for the deployment.
The NG won't be "siding with ICE"; The Posse Comitatus Act prevents them from doing so. What could happen is if the president declares the Insurrections Act and federalizes the NG. It is one of those things normal people never have to think about unless something drastic happens... such as a toddler-in-chief getting advices from malicious race war advocates about getting his next shiny trophy.
My impression is Walz can't do shi* aside from what remains of the court/judicial system. States rights apparently only applies to red states and not blue states ATM. The NG can be federalized through the insurrections act with the president's authority overriding the state's governor. It is a strange and dangerous time, but 1A, 3A, 4A is basically getting crossed out and ignored. Pleading the 5th is an auto admission of guilt if you're not the favorite or can't pay for a pardon.
Lucky or unlucky fox? IDK but damn I feel bad for it. The den is completely collapsed and it seems to have suffered broken hind leg(s). I get the workers are/were just doing their job but... yeah, mixed feelings here. Human expansion and industries always comes at the expense of nature and/or animals to claim otherwise is pure ignorance.
holy shi* yes that was very, very hard to spot... the only giveaway were the indentations in the snow. At the 3-5 second mark where the fake cat stopped, the snow indentation isn't there and the prints/indentation in the snow became very inconsistent from that point on.I definitely missed it on the first pass.
That image ... well, I can only assume the life of that dumb bird is a comedic tragedy.
LinkedIn is practically a cesspool of AI generated profiles and "AI-powered" tracking services looking for the same key words on user profiles... At least in the US - fewer and fewer recruiters actually care. Getting the first job/entry level job straight out of school now is nearly impossible unless you know someone at the hiring place. My pessimistic outlook aside, I wish the best for @OP; I was in the same spot a decade ago before this AI bubble blowup.
Depends on said existence... and whether or not you consider it a "blessing".Psychopaths and Sociopaths without empathy for others as an example will never experience depression. It's usually just anger, rage and malicious willful actions the longer they live. Hell, just look at the US president. The only anxiety he has is whether or not he can't get bubba (and I guess losing the authority of the office).
Yes, some "humans" for sure. I'm unsure about kids given that most kids who are properly parented won't need the belt/fist/paddle/stick/switch. As for the truly psychopathic kids who murder and torture small animals... well, suffice to say I expect the worst in humanity in those cases and have little to no hope for them.
Buddy, chimps in the wilds right now are likely far less "safe" if you consider human expansion alone. Never mind the facts chimps have factions/clans that compete, murder, and canabalize their dead rivals among the shrinking resources. That mom chimp probably knows how terrible humans can be as well. Some animals experience the worst of the worst and the best of a terrible situation. Human common sense rarely applies to animals trying to survive.
The reminder that tinder dates are more honest about their wants than hinge and other "serious" dating apps full of sociopaths.
I heard that by being an idiot voting against your own interest and you'll get the face-eating ones for free.
