Before we start, I'm Tyson, a Canadian salesman/photographer/journalist/writer(not author, never been published) techhead, and oddball. I'm actually pretty easygoing despite what you're about to read. Feel free to message me. Alrighty - this has been getting to me lately: the comments are for commenting on the photos, please please PLEASE stop complaining about people down-voting, recycled jokes, the extension, and reposts. 85% of the things people complain about being "so old," are actually new to me. Furthermore, complaining that people are recycling jokes is a waste of your time. Jokes get repeated because they make people laugh, and it's not going to stop. Even if it's old it still takes hundreds of separate people thinking, "hah that was clever," or something along those lines to put it in the top comment spot. Just because you've seen the joke before doesn't make those hundreds of people wrong. Finally, shut the fuck up about the downvote fairies.And the extension. If you really are only after getting a top comment then get the extension and obsessively refresh and wait until a new image is posted. PS: Personally I do not have the extension, and I won't be getting it. I'm the kind of guy that would check each time a new picture was posted, and I'm also the kind of guy who hates coming to Imgur and only seeing one new image at a time. Will I lose out on the ability to make top comments as often? Maybe, but as long as there are new pictures to enjoy and other comments to read, I'll enjoy this site. Plus, we have a huge community; I know someone will read what I have said, and if they like it enough maybe they'll tell me. Obviously I like to have my opinion and sense of humour validated, we all do. But I don't care about collecting upvotes as much as making someone laugh. Upvotes only get you to Glorious, then they mean nothing. Enjoy the images and the community, not the sense of notoriety that comes with people recognizing your online handle. That being said, feel free to start a fanclub devoted to me.
