Depending on where you live the first step is to tell your family doctor that you think you might have it then they can refer you to a psychiatrist for a formal diagnosis. I live in Canada so my experience of getting other mental health diagnoses might be different from what you might go through.

The unlimited PTO strategy. You can take as many days off in a year as you want... But if you use any of them we will hate you forever.

Or worse the employees who want to have a dick measuring contest based on how few days a year they take off.

But they rarely rationalize their bullshit in reality. They create non-existent scenarios or something with only a single anecdotal example of a guy ranked 50th in the world becoming trans just to steamroll every women's event. Then when you present a plausible thing that gets some people worked up it lets them slip in other illogical shit later. It doesn't start with real world examples and real world examples don't make them stop.

If they were a conservative she would be too old for them.

Lawmakers: we don't want a sitting president to make bullshit felonies to stop his opponent from running.
Us: then we shouldn't let a sitting president make bullshit felonies to stop their voters from voting.
Republicans: that is a tried and true strategy that we refuse to give up and how dare you for suggesting it.

I think the OP of the tweet was trying to argue that the cause was the other way around. I read the tweet as "Israel is trying to make Israel represent all Jewish people, and that will cause some people to equate all Jews with Israel." To me it reads as Israel's actions are intentionally or otherwise causing bigots to attack any Jewish person.

Kick up a bit of concrete dust walking through that one part of the building, you kinda get used to it and ignore it but over the years those catch up with you.

Overall I think the job even with the kindest employer is going to be noticeably harder on the body than many other jobs. It's also something that is very needed in society. I think the best thing for trades people is to be well compensated in a way that we don't have to work in these tough jobs for a full 40 year career.

The other part of the trades that can be hard on your health long term are the environmental factors. If the building doesn't have walls up you can be subject to both ends of the shitty weather spectrum. There is also the dirt and debris and air pollutants you can be regularly exposed to on job sites. Most of the products you can be exposed to daily are more harmful than stuff non trades people experience and when your exposure is just a passing whiff of paint fumes or your boots kick up (2/3)

I'm a union electrician up in Canada and from my perspective it's a bit of both. The obvious unavoidable wear and tear on the body comes from a certain amount of heavy lifting that can be reduced but not always fully eliminated, many times needing to get into awkward spaces whether it's tight ceilings to get into or working crouched down doing things on or near the floor. Most of those things can be reduced by having good working conditions (1/2)

The reason you don't create fake photos of a real estate listing is because it's fraud. People don't like showing up to look at a house and realize they were lied to.

If someone making the sub minimum wage because they get tips earns less than the actual minimum wage for their hours they should be paid the actual minimum wage.

Every time I come across a YouTube short of PP destroys Trudeau while scrolling I watch it and it's just him bitching "waahhhh carbon tax bad. Don't do carbon tax." Or some other bullshit and he can't argue for anything to save his life. He's so useless as an opposition leader but Canadians love to flip every 8 years between the 2 established parties and I hate it.

Yeah, those benders work exactly as you think, slide the pipe in, put your weight on it to bend it. There are some more finicky details you learn with practice like keeping your foot pressure on it so the pipe doesn't kink. The part that takes a lot of learning is knowing how to make measurements for your offsets and translating that onto the pipe before you bend it.

Yeah but an hour long info dump is just a bad experience and if people don't like it, like me and Yahtzee, then we don't need to give it more time than that. Understanding a reviewer's taste in relation to your own is the most important part of watching game reviews, or any subjectively enjoyable medium.

As someone who also bounced off monster hunter cause of the early game experience. It's understandable

I think that's a small problem with doing a weekly review series. There isn't going to be a new game that a person is that interested in every week. Eventually he ran out of big name content and had to keep getting more niche and Indy. For me I would go weeks without watching until I saw something that did interest me.

The post doesn't say that they asked for it. It says her doctor recommended it and her parents agreed to it. So it's pretty ambiguous what the person wanted but I read it as them getting the surgery because their parents said so. Many backwards places see children as the property of parents so only parental consent is needed for major surgeries, but that's me speculating on stuff outside the actual tweet.

The curse of Korean MMOs coming to the west, when the original cashflow dries up they usually get bought by another publisher who forces them to go with the "tried and true" method of monetization. Half the episodes of death of a game follow that same basic outline.

I've had 3 friends who worked at Costco's at some point and they all said it was the best retail job they ever had.

Use commercial districts as a buffer between industrial and residential. When I start a new city I usually divide the first tile 1/4 to industrial, 2 streets for commercial and the rest to Resi as things grow out.

I don't think Republicans have the media literacy to even accidentally establish a theme in their own lives.

In most places it is completely legal to give employees paid time off equal to 1.5 X the number of overtime hours worked.

If you want a slightly deeper than surface level advice for game development I enjoy the YouTube channel extra credits. The lead writer is an experienced game dev and they have lots of videos about how mistakes in the dev process balloon into worse games overall

Like if the first time they went to the dentist someone said "Are you sure you want to be called The Chosen One?" It could be irritating to someone because they already filled in the form saying what they wanted to be called. It might be a little ridiculous in this context but that could happen in more mundane situations too.
