Faith in Humanity: RESTORED.

This is me! My name is Chris and I've been an Imgurian for a while now. For my first post, I wanted to share a recent experience of mine that deserves some honest recognition. Sooooo here we go!

I was awoken the Sunday morning of this past Memorial Day weekend to an unsettling sight; my car with busted windows. Pretty lame.

It had been shot-up by some hooligans with BB Guns the night before. Here's a side shot of some of the damage.

Three of my windows were shot out with some damage sustained to the body as well. My next door neighbors' were also hit, they even had the windows of their house shot! It was a serious buzzkill for the holiday weekend.

Enter, one of the coolest people I know. This is Kyle, with his son. He and I work together at Olive Garden and he's immensely selfless, positive, and energetic. Seeing my misfortune, and knowing he'd see me later that evening at work, Kyle sprung into action.

This is us back in January when we shaved our heads... for the heck of it, cause we're awesome. ;)

SO, Kyle began a collection the same day as my misfortune. Understanding that (even with insurance) I would still be put out quite a bit of money (+me being a poor college student), he spread this around the 'OG' without me knowing...

It was given to me at the end of the night and totaled about $60 and no words can properly express just how humbled and grateful I am. He even used his son's little fish piggy-bank as a collection pot.

It's just so utterly compassionate. I've been profoundly impacted by this act of kindness and I feel very blessed to work with such amazing, loving people. The 'OG Family' is no joke! ;)

The crime has since been solved. Here's the three guys responsible. From the span of Friday night through Sunday morning, they hit more than twenty people's property.
