I don't know how much clearer it needs to be made to you that police in the US have been killing people for fun longer than you've been alive and the US military will gladly shoot civilians, they've done it before. Unless you're planning on standing in front of the guns too then don't demand that others run off and get shot.

They are not pro/forced birth. They're anti abortion. They don't care if the baby is born. They don't care if the baby dies. They don't care if the baby explodes and kills everyone in the room. The entire point is to stop abortions. Some believe abortions are bad because their internal logic doesn't work correctly. Some want to stop abortions for something called "The Birth Dearth" and want to increase the number of certain ethnicities while also decreasing the number of other ethnicities.
The goal wasn't to save Vietnam, it was to deny the Soviet Union a trade partner and potential military ally. Same reason why Laos and Cambodia were bombed. While the US military was forced out of the country the ultimate mission of denying Vietnam its future was a success. Agriculture and the local environment are still healing. Cancers, birth defects, and other medical problems have cause countless people to suffer. Poverty and lack of infrastructure hurt people for decades as well.
People have watched the US military kill civilians on basically every continent including within its own borders and then demand that somehow people rise up like it's not gonna be the Kent State Massacre and the Battle Of Blair Mountain on steroids.
They revolution through movies. Vigilante action through shows. To them the people that would be doing it are faceless, nameless, and unafraid of having their family tortured to death. They will tell others to go and die but if they were put in such a position they would never do it themselves. I think the worst part of this whole thing so far is finding out just how many people think that the common folk can just throw their entire lives away in an act of desperate heroism.
There's a lot of resistance but you can only push so far before the government starts literally attacking you. Cops have abducted and murdered people for standing up. The literally just grab protestors and beat permanent disability into them. They fire rubber bullets into crowds causing people to go blind or get brain damage. The US has state sanctioned violence against civil rights activists and has longer than anyone has been alive. An actual political riot would turn into a bloodbath.
Because unlike in france, the police will beat you until you need to go to the hospital and then, instead of letting you go to the ER, will throw you into a jail cell for a few days and slap you with a huge charge that will cost thousands to resolve. And this is all if they don't just kill you.
The guns they have can shoot hundreds of rounds a minute. They also have backup. The military and every police department all linked together through a government communication network and armed with things we can't fight like tanks and artillery all while not caring about who they hit. And it doesn't matter what the final outcome is if you're dead. I want people to fight back but I know that doing so is a death sentence for the fighters and bystanders. I can't expect people to go and die.

They can dig through your posts, comments, and chat messages to look for clues about who you are. This is the real purpose of the AI push. It can dig through it all rather fast
The problem comes down to peaceful protest by force. There CAN'T be riots because american cops have actual military hardware and no qualms about attacking people. Peaceful protests result in people being held in jail with broken bones with the processing being drug out to make sure they suffer. Rubber bullets, tear gas, and in at least one occasion people being stuck in handcuffs in vans with deafening sounds played all night. There's no "letting", there's only trying not to get killed.
They live behind high walls. With lots of cameras, guards that are armed with military weapons, and fast police response times.
It's not the doctors that you need to worry about. It's the hospital administrator and hospital company share holders that will make it happen. They care about money and power and most don't hold medical licenses that can be revoked.

Foraging for food is gonna get rough and even with an electric car changing shelter will mean walking after you realize it's limited to trips between charging ports. And this is all assuming that nothing people were doing when they vanished started a fire.

Anything text related can be falsified so expect a few names, like possibly Mamdani, to suddenly appear in them as well. The redaction took so long because they needed to make sure that it was clean of the names and faces of their side and they could use it as a weapon against people standing in their way.
