I recognize almost every one of these as actual recordings of death/maiming on job sites. Censored by CG animation over the actual video.At first I thought it was just a coincidence, but some of these are very specific to some horrifying videos I've seen, minus the blood and guts.
Treatable, but not curable. The latest news is that he has about 5 years left to live before his cancer finally claims him.
I lived in South Carolina for a few years. So many people in my area would abandon their pets when moving, there were literal packs of wild dogs roaming the streets. The local SPCA was overwhelmed trying to capture them all, more or less find them homes.I adopted two of my dogs from that place, and I made sure to take them with me when I left. One lived a long, full life and passed away 2 years ago; the other is currently 13 and still runs and plays like he's a puppy.
I played Sea of Thieves 5 years ago, for like 30 minutes. I was trying to explore the starting area, talk to all the NPCs, and figure out what this game was all about. Then a few random players showed up in my session and started trying to rush me onto a ship or something. I didn't want to play multiplayer, but the game forced me into it. The players seemed annoyed I didn't already know what to do. So I just quit and haven't been back yet. I keep telling myself I'll give it another shot one day.
Those "full seasons" are an American concept, tied to studio demands to make ridiculous amounts of money. Actors, producers, etc. are worked to the bone to release that much content on a very tight schedule.In other places, studios produce quality content on their own schedule. That's why British seasons are only like 6-12 episodes long. They WANT to make those shows, so there's less content, but everyone isn't stressed to death trying to create it by a strict deadline.

Maybe I misunderstood them, then. They said my dog would freeze and suffocate if she rode in that cargo hold. However, they had another larger jet that would be climate-controlled for pets.
I booked my dog on a flight once. No problem checking her in, but I noticed from the plane that two people were arguing on the tarmac next to her kennel. One of them boarded the plane and took me off; claiming that the cargo hold wasn't pressurized, but the other guy wanted to board my pet anyway. They successfully argued to route my pet on another flight, arriving an hour before me, but surviving the trip. If they had just "done their job," I would've lost my dog that day.
That episode (Homer's Enemy, season 8, ep. 23) is considered the end of the "good" Simpson's. The series has never been as good or highly rated again since that singular episode. The series became a parody of itself after that, with all the characters falling into common archetypes instead of being complex characters. As a child (30+ years ago), I thought Don Knotts and Steve Buscemi were the same person. Then I found out how old the Andy Griffith Show was and said, "Dang, Steve is aging like fine wine!"
That just makes it even more powerful. It was such a forgettable event in his life, he couldn't even be bothered to remember the day of the week it happened on.
#8 I used to subscribe to this magazine when I was a kid! I'd get a new one in the mail every month. They were very small magazines; I kept my collection organized in a couple shoeboxes. They fit perfectly with the spines facing out, so you could open the box and skim the titles for the issue you wanted.
"The Adventures of Milo and Otis" is actually a Japanese film called "The Adventures of Chatran." When it came to America, they made up their own English dub for it.And now for the traumatizing bit... Japan didn't have animal welfare laws when it was made, so they abused the hell out of a dozen or so cats during filming. Re-watch it again. Then scenes where a bird or a crab are attacking Milo, or he's falling off a cliff... those are real animal abuse scenes.

Originally, pink was a "man's color" because it was reminiscent of steak or blood. Blue was a "girl's color" because it was a soft, light color for babies, and women were seen as mothers who cared for babies. Sometime in the... 1950s I think? We swapped color genders. I forget why, but I think it had to do with fashion at the time. And we've seen pink as a girl's color and blue as a boy's color ever since.

In 9th grade, one of the hot popular girls in my grade invited me to eat lunch with all the popular girls every day. She always appreciated me joining them, but the other girls ignored me. One day when she walked away, one of the girls told me she only invited me to hang out because I look exactly like her boyfriend, [my legal name]. (I go by a nickname.) He went to another nearby school. So apparently, I had a doppelganger with my actual name, who looked just like me. I never got to meet him.
Ha! My college was free! ...In the US military. They got me.

The Orville. It's a TV show by (and starring) Seth MacFarlane, the creator of Family Guy. Despite that, it's a love letter to Star Trek, and a very faithful one too. When it first came out, critics said it was the best "Star Trek" show we've had in decades.
Nah, I'd rather live in the Idiocracy world than ours. Their president actually cared about fixing the environment, and he hired the smartest man in the world to figure it out.

In the spinoff film "Hobbes & Shaw," Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham wrote contracts saying they would get equal punches and kicks in against each other, equal damage, equal quips against each other, and every fight had to be a stalemate, usually interrupted by someone or something.
