"Foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds." -Emerson
What pudding? This is just an empty wooden bowl.
You deserve all the upvotes.Forest for the trees, people.
#2 feminine? I used to do this at least once a week. Just add a little cool water when you start to feel faint.
Aspirational post from someone who doesn't understand that shrinkage and spoilage are priced in before profit.
I'm sure the comments this guy received were cathartic. Thing is, dunking on the farmers is almost as foolish as the farmers seeking sympathy. The fact is, we are all fkd if things don't change for the better. Wise leaders would embrace the farmers and working class conservatives to build a democratic supermajority that could restore some reason and sense to US politics. But, instead, it's just more division-driven propaganda. Who benefits from that? We are all on the same sinking ship rn.
#4 Not sure if I have ever felt so understood by a meme? The thing is sometimes I can squeeze 2 or 3 40-hour days into a week (if I rest up and pre-stress enough about not getting anything done), and other times I struggle to get multiple 4-hour days into a given week. And, oh the anxiety that I experience when I can't manifest a hyperfocus day when I need one and I am falling behind.
I read A People's History... in college, but do not remember reading the (un)fun factoid about American evangelicals' history. Did I miss that chapter? Am I losing my mind? I feel like I would have been annoying people intentionally with this information for the last 30 years if I had known.
That's the .ost natural sounding vocalization I've ever heard from a birb. Super cool voice.
Jesus, that YT takedown video watches like a villain back story.
I miss the days when the internet was filled with things like this. It's all become so corporate and commercialized. Give me talented people singing cartoon theme songs any time.
Exactly. Nothing about this commercial was done well.
#8 Can confirm. Traveled cross country with mapquest maps. Before the internet, had to wing it, use real maps, or ask strangers at gas stations for directions.
#3 is a terrific pic
This would be my golden doodle. Sweet as can be. Excited about and chases every living thing she sees, be it other dogs, birds, squirrels, armadillos, opossum and even snakes. Cute lottle thing has zero instinct for danger. Gives me anxiety sometimes.
Also, the rejection happened in March. Time frame seems relevant here. Though if someone knows different, please set me straight. Otherwise, this just seems like piling more shit on the shit pile to scare people for internet points.Seems just likely the cheap, unidentified beef is a lie.
Are there more earthquakes happening worldwide than usual, or am I just spending too much time on Imgur?
I'll take 3 slices, please
...or 100+ degree (Fahrenheit) days for months on end.
It's like people have forgotten that dismantling the agencies and bureaucracies they could, and appointing antagnostic, ineffective heads of the others was literally the point. Calling it out this way feels like sane-washing. Chaos is the point.
That's not something easily encapsulated in a chat room box.Very generally speaking, I think she was sabotaged somewhat by the late announcement Biden was exiting, then being nominated without the regular process. However, once nominated, and excluding the personality issues as superficial fluff, I think two factors cost her more than others: 1) less support for democratic candidates, and 2) in-fighting within traditionally democratic voting blocks over polarized issues like Israel.
Or a new Supreme Court. Constitutitonal rights aren't what they used to be.Moreover, States and Congress could pass all kinds of laws undermining Citizens United, and attacking its foundations, the same way Roe was attacked and mitigated for decades, before being scuttled by the Court. The more practical problem is that politicians like money and vote with their wallets.
Y'all flaming Llama, but they're not wrong. The 'further Left'- however, you characterize it nationally or internationally- is having a necessary moment because the Far Right has gone too far and the country is out of balance. One should not assume, however, a few small victories means the war is won. The fact is it can still be lost because of extremists willing to torch perceived Centrist candidates to the altar of radical change. Look at what happened to Kamala's campaign.
Same. Agreed.
These were players I've played with daily for 7 months. Politics almost never comes up. This was a brief, organic chat. These views are out there among regular people.
I saw an international, mutlicultural chat on a game recently where people I know to be from at least three to five different countries and different backgrounds were talking very positively about him. There is a lot more support for him and his policies than people realize.I would imagine a lot of people have mixed feelings-- things they support and things that embarrass or offend them-- and do not fit neatly into binary categories when it comes to this government.
If you'd read the article linked to, you would see the AI was prompted/tricked to say those things, and did not go sentient or tattle on him. Just tricked. I felt like that should be made clear, as, I for one went to the article ready to be entertained and was disappointed by the mislead.
If almost hald a century on this planet has taught me anything, it is that anyone [any one] is trying to convince you that all members of any race, group, class, religion, orientation or lifestyle... with incredibly narrow, possibly fictitional exceptions... that person is either trying to indoctrinate you with propaganda, or a fool.
My dude, letting someone go and cheering for their suffering are two different things.
Gave me chills.
Well worth watching!
