Yep, the sane-washing plays a big part in it too. He'll spout off a string of gibberish and then the audio will cut part-way through his rambling while some FOX talking head goes "So what he's saying, in summary..." to fill in the blanks for the viewers. It's ridiculous how often even non-right wing media happily carries water for him rather than just pointing out "Uh, well, the president just rambled incoherently for 20 minutes and we have no idea what he's talking about".

"Trans Exclusionary Radical Feminist". Basically an alt-right extremist faction of feminism that promotes women as superior to men rather than aiming for gender equality, and explicitly denies the existence and inclusion of non-binary gender identities and trangenderism. They also view cis women as inferior traitors if they promote gender equality rather than female superiority.

Obama getting the office absolutely lit a fire under the bigots' collective asses, though I always wonder what would've happened if Obama had lost the election. Like, would they still have gone as aggro as they did because they'd see a black man losing as vindication of their dumbfuck beliefs and a call to accelerate? Or would they have settled back down into the "all is as it should be" status quo of their comfortably shitty worldview?

Bi, but more or less accurate.

Looks like a case of commission. The actual artist is Plushccubus - https://bsky.app/profile/plushccubus.bsky.social - not Gigaratsu. Gigaratsu commissioned it directly referencing Spicymancer's - https://bsky.app/profile/spicymancer.bsky.social - original work as a gift to a VTuber named QueenBriarVT, who's dark fairy OC is featured in the image. Spicymancer appears to be properly credited in QueenBriarVT's reposting of the image, so nobody's stealing from the looks of things.

More so than necessarily "everything is more expensive now" being the hurdle a lot of Boomers struggle to clear, it's "work literally can't supply a livelihood" that they seem to struggle with. Which, to be perfectly fair to them, is a reasonable thing to see as baffling and nonsensical because it sure as fuck is to those of us suffering under it. But when they've been out of the workforce for decades, they can't reconcile the difference in experiences so easily.

Yep, we're going to wake up one of these coming mornings to find out he had the Kennedy Center rush-demolished overnight when nobody could stop it, just like he did with the East Wing.

Context matters in this case. The character is Alphys from Undertale, who is a reclusive anime nerd living in a world functionally separated from mankind entirely. In her environment, Fat Bara Men (particularly Humans) don't exist outside of what she's able to skim from media she scrounges up.

My grandpa, rest his soul, was a similar way but actually listened when I showed him what an inflation calculator was. Boomers who actually change their tune are an unfortunately rare occurrence, but he was a union man so he could definitely appreciate the idea of "the boss man will literally kill you to make an extra penny" rather than stubbornly sticking to the "kids are soft and lazy these days" nonsense.

Keep in mind that his lawyers' defense about the East Wing basically boils down to "Well, it's no good saying it's illegal NOW, we already did it, just move on and forget about it". The GOP is taking the approach of charging ahead into blatantly illegal shit, breaking everything, and then stating there's no point in repercussions because the damage is already done. They're going to keep doing it, just like this, until they're removed completely from power outright.

From what I've read, the whole effort wasn't sanitizing away slavery (as that's still a big part of the SW lore) but rather about empowering Leia. So that her arguably most famous outfit isn't about being a sex object and a damsel in distress, but that she was her own character who killed her aggressor with the chains he tried to bind her with. Which Carrie was very much down with given her long-standing and often-stated hatred of that outfit and the "slug who forced her to wear it".

They're probably great if they never leave a given farm property and are just used for hauling stuff around local acreage. But yeah, I wouldn't want to see the horror show that would come from even a street collision in one of those.

(Comment reposted to remove YouTube link to what turned out to be an AI video. Fuck that nonsense).

Ew, gross, you're right. I just searched up Kei Truck Collision and didn't realize it was an AI channel.

How fucking vacuous are these people's lives that the prospect of driving all the way out to a lake for the sole purpose of waiting to offend random strangers is apparently a highlight event for them?

I stopped playing Overwatch the day leaderboard rankings were added. Before that, it had been a chill and fun game with no stress, everyone just goofing around and having a fun time. Literally the very day leaderboards came up, even Practice matches were filled with preteens screaming into their mics about "playing the meta" and insulting everyone.

I poked back in from time to time over the years but it only got worse. PvP ruins games because it encourages the worst habits and behaviors.

Worse still are the mixed PvP/E games, where the PvPers will go out of their way to harass the PvErs who want nothing to do with their side of things. There's a few MMOs I've had to drop over the years because devs thought it was a good idea to put PvP zones in the middle of PvE maps and force players to interact with it, which made progress impossible at times.

Yep, it's not about her simply not winning. She has to humiliate herself, and Fatima's family suffers, because some jackasses have fragile egos.

Because, as naturally follows, she'd have to not only swallow the inevitable barrage of degradation the guys hurl at her when she lost, but would have to continue losing because the moment she beat them they'd all bail out and leave the arcade in dire straits again. And Fatima won't do anything to stand up for her because that would reveal the truth.

Slavery never went anywhere - there's literally a carve out for it in the 13th Amendment of the Constitution. Modern corporations - Walmart, McDonalds, etc - basically only work because of rented penal slave labor, sweat shops, and illegal exploitation of immigrants. The modern trends are just pushing it further because the economic structure is on the brink of collapse and it's easier to just imprison/enslave average citizens driven into poverty than actually help them.

Honestly why I can't watch basketball. The endless, constant squeaking is maddening.

#2 Speaking from personal experience, but for whatever reason hot Dr Pepper is incredibly soothing and would always help me doze off.

Assuming the warranty even means a damn thing in the first place. I've had too many instances where I try to bring something in under warranty and the company wrings itself into knots finding ways to deny it.

I went to a ramen shop a few years back that said "Sorry, QR code or nothing, we have no other system to take orders". I chose "or nothing" and got up to leave, when LO AND BEHOLD suddenly the waiter manifested the ability to pull a pad out of his pocket and offer to manually take my order. It's all a fucking scam.

Dolly's whole approach seemed to be "lead by positive example". Instead of vocally decrying shitty behavior, she instead lived by her values and demonstrated them in action. When she spoke out, it was to uplift people and say good things in hopes that message would reach people who needed to hear it.

While speaking out absolutely has power on its own, I think we could get a lot more done if more people were like Dolly and really dedicated themselves to actually doing rather than just saying.

Seriously, I get the intent behind the comic given the entire context at hand. Kingpin being enraged to tears at the attack makes sense. Even Magneto is believable.

But Doom? Fucking DOOM? It would've made as much sense to have Thanos or Mephisto there getting misty-eyed. Just don't put him in the comic, for goodness' sake.

Which is doubly funny when Evans goes back to playing asshole jock types, like when he followed up in Knives Out, where anyone who only ever knew him as Captain America prior got hit with what felt like a massive personality whiplash.

I just checked JJ's filmography list to see what all he's actually done over the years and... yeah, actually, WHY does he get big gigs these days? All the stuff he's got primary control and credit on (ie, wasn't just part of a writing team or didn't just pen an initial screenplay for) is shit. Is it just a case of the industry being that insular?

Yeah, Hiddleston did some magazine shoots in those years and he's pretty decently built. Certainly enough so to work with those earlier superhero movies before Hollywood started demanding every guy be desiccated hulks of veins and muscle.

He's not the "I must swallow two whole chickens every hour to meet my protein intake" mountain of muscle Hemsworth is, but he looks a lot scrawnier than actuality because of his clothing and also standing next to Chris McLargeHuge in most scenes.

Dolly stayed apolitical while still openly being on the side of all the various things Trump hates and is trying to destroy. Her stated reason for remaining apolitical was for the sake of not ostracizing any fans and preferring to live by positive example.

Stella, on the other hand, has openly called Trump deranged, and referred to him and MAGA as pimples and pus. She's outright stated that she refuses to keep her political views quiet, so I bet she'll have a lot to say about this.

Odds are he's just handed a bunch of AI images someone else took the initiative to make for him (likely that Natalie Harp lady, as her job is pretty much to heap endless praise on him and print out complimentary tweets to make him feel good). At most he might blurt out some vague idea like "make a picture of me as a war hero!" for someone else to work with. It's not like he's smart enough to understand how to actually manage an AI image generation prompt in the first place.

That, and he's a malignant narcissist who can't go a single moment without demanding to be the center of everyone's attention. He's psychologically incapable of allowing anything to happen without somehow twisting it around to be about him.
