It seems pretty apparent now that we have much data, that brains just live on a spectrum and labelling it as autism is just detrimental. I've met a lot of people with autism (I'm in software), and for the most part it isn't even apparent. Then I look at some of my jock friends and they have the exact same traits but they are deemed socially acceptable in that context. Software complexity is fun. Bug fixes always snowball. I spent the last 2 or 3 months fixing one single issue that was caused by a logic mistake creating indeterministic behaviour. The problem is fixing it without breaking existing installs and data :)
